STREETS

STREETS is a tabletop roleplaying game where players take on the roles of stray dogs and cats (and rats!) in a rules-light game that anyone can grasp quickly and have a blast playing.

The game engine is built around simplicity — you only need one or two regular ol' six-sided dice to play. When you run into a challenging situation and need to make a skill check, you roll 2d6, add them together, then add whatever skill modifier you might have. 

There are no hit points or armor classes, but there are still consequences for risky actions that fail! If you get hurt you roll for the body location and then take an injury, which impacts your skills and can lead to even more dire consequences!

There are a LOT of dog breeds out there to choose from, but I wanted players to feel like they had unique, customizable stats for their dog, regardless of what breed they chose. I devised a 'class' system using the seven AKC breed groups so whatever dog breed you decide to play as, you'll have an easy source for your stats.

You can also play a mixed breed! Mixed breed dogs have even more customizable stats, plus an extra point for their hardiness.

You can even play as a cat. Cats have slightly worse stats than dogs, but a lot more luck, which enables you to re-roll failed skill checks! 

But your character doesn't just have their stats at their disposal, you also have unique talents which give you special abilities, such as Houdini: You can open doors with your paw or teeth. These talents give each character even more depth but are immediately easy to understand.
